Individual Tutorials

During the winter of 2020-2021, Deborah taught a 6-session virtual course to a group of home gardeners and landscape professionals on the design principles underlying the world’s most famous New Perennial gardens—including Chicago’s Lurie Garden, Oudolf Garden Detroit, the Oudolf Meadow at Delaware Botanic Gardens, New York’s High Line, and the Oudolf Entry Walk at Toronto Botanical Garden. She was able to make accessible even the most complex and abstract concepts: In fact, it has been said that she “cracked the code”! (Complete log of course reviews on request.)

The original course, which was subsequently offered as an online video series, will not be repeated. However, you can benefit from her remarkable teaching skills in virtual tutorial sessions at your convenience. The curriculum can be tailored to your personal interests and needs.

In addition, video recordings of Deborah’s lectures (New Perennials: A Love Story, Not Your Mother’s Garden, & Reimagined Gardens) are available now for personal viewing at $25 each (1 month of access with unlimited views).
